In the schools we often see children in groups. There is a need to make sure that both the lesson and the groups composition meets both the language needs and the social needs of the group. During my sessions I have a schedule, with definite beginning and ending routines. I often will use Token Towers . This allows me to reward both correct answers but also good social skills. I may reward a student for looking and listening or for giving a compliment to another child. This gives me a real visual and opportunity to highlight a social skill.
